| NAMI is a non-profit, self-help organization whose goal is to improve the quality of life for persons with brain disorders and their families. NAMI Jackson County is a local, southern Illinois chapter of NAMI comprised of family members, friends, professionals, and individuals who have recovered and are recovering from brain disorders. NAMI Jackson County members believe that continuing research into the causes of serious and prolonged neurobiological illnesses and improved treatment methods and service systems are essential. We welcome all who have felt alone because of brain disorders within the family. We hope you will join us in the rapidly growing network of people who are dedicated to the welfare of persons with brain disorders and their families.
