NAMI Jackson County offers understanding, encouragement and mutual support to all who are faced with a neurobiological brain disorder of a loved one.  Family members learn coping skills by sharing their experiences and exploring solutions to common problems.  Families learn that they are not alone, the disorder is treatable, and the illness is not anyone's fault.

NAMI Jackson County educates through meetings, conferences, and educational materials for families and professionals.  Program meetings feature speakers and videos on topics that educate our members and the community about brain disorders and related issues.

NAMI Jackson County brings the needs of persons with a neurobiological brain disorder and the needs of their families to the attention of legislators, service providers, medical staff, and the general public.  The organization protects the rights of persons with brain disorders and actively presses for improved community support services.
